Japan Auto Sales Slip 0.8% as Tax Impact on Demand Continues

Japan's auto sales fell 0.8 percent last month, extending a drop in demand in Asia's second-largest car market after an increase in the nation's consumption tax. Vehicle deliveries declined to 518,774 in September from 522,760 a year earlier, according to industry figures released today.
