The Nebraska Supreme Court will not rule on a legal challenge to the $5.4 billion project's proposed route until next year. This fall, the Nebraska Supreme Court heard arguments in three landowners' legal challenge to the $5.4 billion pipeline's proposed route, which runs 1,200 miles from the tar sands in Western Canada to refineries in the Midwest, terminating in Steel City, Nebraska.
