(Telecompaper) Lenovo unveiled a number of new mobile devices at the IFA show in Berlin, including three Vibe smartphones, a phablet and a new tablet with projector. The smartphones include the high-end Vibe P1 with 5000mAh battery. Aimed at always-on users, the phone comes with the OneKey Power Saver and Rocket Charge features as well as WiFi Boost for dual-band access and a fingerprint reader for privacy. The smaller, 5-inch P1m integrates some of the battery charging features from the P1 with splash-proof nano-coating technology, starting at a low USD 159. Lenovo's third smartphone, the Vibe S1 targets photo enthusiasts with two front cameras. The 8MP primary front camera takes the sharpest photos and a 2MP secondary front camera analyzes depth of field information. The two images can then be combined and edited to offer myriad new possibilities for selfies, Lenovo said. Lenovo also upgraded its Yoga tablet series designed for video viewing. The latest Yoga Tab 3 Pro is a 10-inch tablet with QHD screen, onboard 70-foot projector that rotates 180 degrees. In addition, Lenovo will offer the 8- and 10-inch Yoga Tab, featuring a 180-degree rotatable camera, up to 20 hours of battery life, LTE support and photo capture with hand gestures. Responding to the growing demand for large-screen phones, Lenovo also introduced the Phab Plus. The 6.8-inch device combines the best of smartphones and tablets, Lenovo said, with a full HD screen, dual SIM and 4G connectivity. The device is designed for one-handed use, with a number of shortcuts available for common functions.
