Supplied in 10-pin, 3 x 3 mm DFN package, AEC-Q100 grade 3-qualified ISL78692 extends life of Li-ion batteries in automotive emergency call (eCall) systems. This single-cell battery charger dissipates minimal leakage current (3 µA) and monitors battery temperature. Along with 4.1 V output and programmable charging current up to 1 A, features include charge current thermal foldback, operation down to 2.65 V after start-up, and 1% initial voltage accuracy.
