Before the Golden Guernsey dairy processing plant closed in January 2013, milk was bottled in half gallons and moved down a production line. However, since Golden Guernsey shut down, Lifeway Foods, the company that now operates out of the Waukesha complex, has had to bring in new machinery since it doesn't use half-gallons or gallons.
