Telespazio VEGA Deutschland has been supporting the European Space and Aviation Industry for over 30 years, including ESA, DLR, EUMETSAT, DFS and CNES. The role is related to the migration from SLES to RHEL and, later, administration of a computer infrastructure involving a network of 200 systems. This position is based in Langen Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Responsibilities Duties Be in charge of the migration and administration of the customers Linuxbased Administrative IT infrastructure. Be in charge for the Puppet migration and customization. Be in charge of the setup and administration of an Icinga2based monitoring infrastructure. Analyse incidents and restore service in the shortest possible time. Produce and maintain an overall Project Management Plan. Qualifications Experience A university degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent. At least 4 years demonstrated experience as System AdministratorEngineer. Certification as SUSE SCE SUSE Certified Engineer or RHCE Red Hat Certified Engineer. Essential Skills The successful candidate will have strong resultsoriented and planning capabilities, coupled with very good problemsolving skills and a pronounced customer focus. Strong and demonstrable Linux Administration Engineering skills. A sound understanding of IT infrastructure concepts and technology. An advancedlevel command of English and German and an ability to present output in a clear, concise and understandable way, both orally and in writing Proactive and confident personality. Desirable Skills Strong and demonstrable Puppet experience. Strong and demonstrable Icinga2 experience. Ability to manage IT projects in a missioncritical environment. Knowledge of Docker and OpenShift.
