Low cotton prices lead to government intervention

The International Cotton Advisory Committee (ICAC) has trimmed its forecast for world average cotton prices in 2014-15, and notes that a combination of low prices and high production costs has incited governments in many large cotton-producing countries to take steps to help growers.
