M:tel launches as MVNO on A1 network

(Telecompaper) Telekom Austria Group has announced that it has further opened up its A1 network infrastructure to another MVNO; M:tel Austria, a subsidiary of Telekommunikacije Republike Srpske, Bosnia and Herzegowina, has launched its operations in Austria. As a full MVNO, M:tel Austria will have a comprehensive network of core elements in place and will rent the necessary transmitting stations from A1 in order to be able to start business. By using Dual IMSI, M:tel Austria allows its customers to reap the benefits of the A1 network, while making inexpensive calls to Serbia, Bosnia and Montenegro, and have access to attractive offerings in these countries. In order to test the new services under real-life conditions, M:tel Austria is currently looking for users to trial the services.
