BusinessGreen: Mainstream Renewable Power has raised $70m (44.19m) to fund its planned 33MW Negrete Cuel wind farm in southern Chile.
A $52m loan from the China Development Bank makes up the majority of the finance, with the remainder coming from Mainstream's own equity.
Construction has already begun and the project is expected to be fully operational by September this year, Mainstream said in a statement.
