NAM announced it would key vote in support of H.R. 624, Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act (CISPA). According to NAM's Aric Newhouse, "Preparation is a critical line of defense from cyber threats, and we believe CISPA will help protect manufacturing jobs and intellectual property." Manufacturers have supported solutions that offer necessary protections and information sharing without adding duplicative regulations that do not improve security.
