(Telecompaper) The Mexican Ministry of Transport and Communications has reached an agreement with companies holding broadcast spectrum to recover 68 percent of the disputed 2.5 GHz spectrum. Nine of the eleven operators affected by the spectrum recovery plan, including MVS Multivision, voluntarily signed the agreement. The government thus recovers 130 of the 190 MHz spectrum within the band. Concessions for the remaining 60 MHz have been extended for 15 years.
