Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding unveils new ME-GIE engine for LEG carriers

Japans Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding (MES) has completed manufacturing the worlds first ME-GIE ethane-operated two-stroke diesel engine for use in liquefied ethylene gas (LEG) carriers at the companys facility in Tamano Works shipyard.
