(Telecompaper) Motorola Mobility announced the appointment of Rick Osterloh as President and COO. He starts immediately, reporting to the Motorola Operating Board at Google until the company's acquisition by Lenovo is completed. Osterloh first joined Motorola seven years ago, helping start the development of Android phones. After a stint at Skype, he returned to Motorola, where he has been leading the group's product management. Osterloh replaces Dennis Woodside, who earlier announced plans to move to Dropbox.
