On Feb. 7, National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) Director Dan Arvizu and panel of 20 energy experts declared USA can double its energy productivity by 2030 in ways that also bolster national economy. Arvizu and other members of Alliance to Save Energy (ASE) Commission on National Energy Efficiency Policy said doubling energy productivity could create one million new jobs while saving average household $1,000 per year and reducing CO2 emissions by one-third.
