Heated water from the cooling system at a data centre in another downtown building will be piped through Amazon offices and then recycled. The Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce reports the system is being constructed by Eco District LLC, a partnership of Clise Properties, which owns the building with the data centre, and mechanical contractor McKinstry, which is designing the water heat transfer system.
