New York Packaging EPR Stalls Again in the Assembly

New York States 2025 legislative session has ended with the Assembly failing to vote on a high-profile extended producer responsibility (EPR) bill for the second consecutive time. The Packaging Reduction and Recycling Infrastructure Act (PRRIA), aka A1749, which passed the Senate in 2024 and again in 2025, would create an EPR program for packaging. [ more ]
