(Telecompaper) Nokia is considering approaching Alcatel-Lucent about a possible tie-up, reports Reuters citing several people close to the matter. The sources said that no formal talks were underway, with one saying that Nokia held talks about buying Alcatel's mobile network equipment business as recently as late-2012. The sources said that interim CEO Risto Siilasmaa had already initiated internal discussions about the company's future strategy, but added that any decision could be months away.
