2018-11-22 09:01:00| Telecompaper Headlines

(Telecompaper) Nokia has created a new division that will put its focus fully on 5G. The Access Networks division will be made up of Nokia's current Mobile Networks and Fixed Networks business groups and will come into being on 1 January. The move will bring in some executive changes. Marc Rouanne, the president of Mobile Networks, will leave Nokia. He will be succeeded, with immediate effect, by Tommi Uitto, a 23-year Nokia veteran. A new chief for Fixed Networks will be appointed in due course. Both Uitto and the new head will report to the president of Access Networks, who will also soon be named.
