(Telecompaper) Nokia plans to enter the 'phablet' segment this year with a new Lumia device similar in size but with more advanced specifications than the Samsung Galaxy Note, people with knowledge of the company's plans told the Financial Times. Nokia is also expected to launch the first Lumia smartphone using its Pureview imaging technology. The handset being considered for a July launch will have a 40 megapixel camera and flash, people with familiar with the matter said. Other launches being prepared include an upgraded and lighter version of last year's Lumia 920. Nokia declined to comment.
