Norfolk Southern focuses on improving service

Last week, the Norfolk-based railroad did it again, announcing record third-quarter profit of $559 million, a 16 percent gain from the same quarter a year ago. What was a little unusual was the company's admission that its service levels to customers continued to lag the result of unexpected congestion.
