Northeast Ohio college gets $6M donation for scholarships

John Carroll University outside Cleveland has received one of the largest donations in the school's history from an alumnus and his wife. Northeast Ohio Media Group reports that Timothy Donahue, former executive chairman of the Sprint Nextel Corp., and his wife, Jayne, have given the school $6 million to provide scholarships for low-income students who demonstrate academic excellence and a commitment to service.
