ODVA Announces Formation of Special Interest Group for Machinery Information

ODVA announced it will form special interest group (SIG) for machine information in order to develop standards for exchange of information between machines as well as between machines and supervisory systems. Resulting standards will provide data models and network services to optimize exchange of machine information for such purposes as production, energy or condition monitoring, BI, batch/recipe management, and multi-machine line control.
