Indilens: On an average, one person every second is displaced by disasters brought on by natural hazards since 2008, according to the Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre (IDMC). The IDMC estimates that more than 19.3 million people were forced to flee their homes by disasters in 100 countries in 2014.
