(Telecompaper) Orange France announced the launch of a new version of its Livebox router, highlighting its eco-friendly credentials. The Livebox 5 will be available with the operator's Livebox Up broadband packages and Open Up quad-play bundles. It will provide a maximum download speed of up to 2 Gbps (up to 600 Mbps upload), double what the Livebox 4 currently supports. Among its main features, 'Smart WiFi' enables the router to reduce interference caused by neighbouring Wi-Fi signals to ensure an improved speed performance.
