(Telecompaper) A total of 11.2 million Spanish households subscribed to some sort of convergent package including at least fixed and mobile telephony and broadband at the end of the first quarter of 2017, according to a report from communications regulator CNMC. The figure is 1.1 million higher than in the first quarter of 2016, with what the CNMC refers to as quad-play packages (fixed and mobile telephony and fixed and mobile broadband) rising by around 200,000 year on year to 6.3 million while quintuple-play packages (also including pay-TV) increased by over 800,000 to 4.9 million.
