Renewable energy is getting so cheap it will soon replace fossil fuels
The cost of renewable energy is falling. Since 2009, for instance, the cost of wind power in the US has fallen 60 per cent while solar has fallen 80 per cent.
"Just one thing would be enough to halt climate change," renowned wildlife programme maker David Attenborough said recently. "If clean energy became cheaper than coal, gas or oil, fossil fuel would simply stay in the ground."
