A real estate sale and a slight rise in revenue boosted Pep Boys in the first quarter, but the Philadelphia-based company still has a long road ahead as it continues to search for its permanent leader. The Pep Boys - Manny, Moe & Jack brought in total sales of $542.3 million in the three months ending May 2, only a 0.6 percent increase compared with the same year-ago period, according to its quarterly earnings report released Tuesday.
