Philippine auto sales breach 60,000-mark in Q1

MANILA Sales in the automotive industry jumped 22 percent from January to March this year, setting a new record of more than 60,000 units sold in the period. The Chamber of Automobile Manufacturers of the Philippines Inc. and the Truck Manufacturers Association said first quarter sales jumped 22 percent to 62,882 units in the first quarter of 2015 from 51,722 units sold in the same period last year.
