One of our space clients based in Belgium is seeking a Procurement Director. This is a permanent position, beginning around January 2017. Your Profile Master in Engineering, preferably generalist such as electromechanical or aerospace. At least 15 years experience, of which 5 years in a similar position in high technology industry. Complementary Master degree in business or procurement is an asset. Fluent in English and French both speaking and writing. Strong influencing and negotiation skills. Due to your analytical and tactical mind, you will be able to develop a strategic vision. Focused on meeting targets and solving problems. Team player, you work in strong collaboration with the technical experts. Your function As procurement Director, you define and implement sourcing strategies that optimise the competitiveness and reactivity of the company. About strategy You manage key commodities in collaboration with the relevant departments by Coordinating a permanent suppliers market intelligence. Defining and implementing effective sourcing strategies. Continuously optimising a panel of qualified suppliers. In collaboration with the legal department, you define general purchasing conditions and frame agreements. You manage the procurement team, methods and tools. About purchasing You manage suppliers consultations for the preparation of bids. You participate in make or buy decisions and prepare negotiation tactics, in collaboration with project and technical departments teams.
