This vacancy note concerns an onsite consulting position at EUMETSAT in Darmstadt, Germany. Project Management Support EPSSG Ground Segment 1613092 Job Description We are looking for a Project Management Support Engineer for our client EUMETSAT. You will be provide support to the EPSSG Ground Segment Manager and team for management related aspects. Some of your key tasks will include but not necessarily be limited to the following Coordinate and maintain, in relation with the project control team, the Ground Segment Project Management Plan, Team Organisation Chart, Work Breakdown Structure WBS, Work Packages, Product Tree, and related documents Contribute to follow up subsystem development activities monitor deliverables to and from EUMETSATs partner agencies and industry, and support the review of deliverables Track progress against agreed development plans and signal any likely or identified deviations from these plans, together with proposals to reduce the impact of any delays Contribute to the preparation and execution of the Project Reviews from a management standpoint prepare presentations and synthetic status reports for internal e.g. report to senior management and external purposes Support the control of the baseline definition of the ground segment including evaluation of Change Requests, Change Proposals, Requests for Waiver Deviation, etc. Travel within Europe may have to be undertaken Required Skills and Experience University degree At least 3 years experience performing project management activities preferably on large and complex development projects in the aerospace or similar domain Ability to make synthesis from various written or verbal inputs with excellent English writing skills Computer skills with strong experience withability to use MS Office software e.g. Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project, etc. Desirable Skills and Experience Certification in project management or in project management disciplines Knowledge of Quality Assurance procedures and processes Knowledge of systems development lifecycle Experience of Ground Segment development andor Earth Observation systems Work Location Darmstadt, Germany Dates Application Deadline 24 June 2016 Start of Work August 2016 Important Notes Before applying to this position, please read the page Notes to Applicants on the Solenix website under Career.
