For one of our customers we are currently recruiting a Project ManagerEngineer for their location in the Brussels, Belgium, region. Its a small 40FTE organization which focusses on design, development, manufacturing and testing of high efficiency thermal control systems for spacecrafts and satellites. They are involved in both studies and running programmes as ATV, Herschel Planck and Smart 1. Tasks and Responsibilities In the projects the technical lead is in the hands of a Project ManagerEngineer. The Project Management work is highly versatile and includes the following activities Conducting feasibility studies on the application of Spacecraft Thermal Control Systems to potential customers andor applications Coordinate the development of new thermal control technology according to a systems engineering methodology Preparation of proposals , including the preparation of work packages and making estimates regarding costs and time Establishment, management and control of technical specifications , concept , functional and detailed designs Establishment, management and monitoring of technical product documentation on system level Driving internal technical consultation and technical coordination Technical discussions with customers and partners , and presenting results Technically directing and consult with subcontractors Organizing and guiding prototype development testing Analyzing including test results , assess technical problems and disorders Develop the necessary testing and production tools Development of production processes and methods. Experience and Education A university degree in a relevant engineering topic Relevant work experience minimum 5 years , for example in the field of aerospace and hightech product development Affinity with structured work and quality assurance Motivated and enthusiastic , not a nineto five mentality Independent attitude with a lot of initiative , perseverance and vision Persuasion , decisiveness and results Strong analytical skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and a working knowledge of French.
