This is a permanent position, calling for at least three years experience of project planning in complex environments. You will be placed on assignment based near Frankfurt in Germany for several years. Candidates should be available to start during the fourth quarter of 2014. Our client is responsible for establishing and operating weather forecasting and Earth observation satellite programmes with associated data telemetry and dissemination operations. Vast quantities of data are produced and user communities throughout the world are able to access both current and historical data sets. The demanding realtime environment places much emphasis on adherence to quality and configuration management standards and procedures. The main working language is English and candidates must be fluent in both reading and writing but knowledge of French also would be advantageous. The jobholder will establish, coordinate and monitor all planning and scheduling across a department providing technical services to several satellite programmes. The key experience and attributes sought are A University degree or equivalent, preferably in a management or engineering discipline At least three years proven handson experience in project planning, scheduling, monitoring and control Extensive experience in schedule preparation, monitoring and control, for complexlarge system programmes, as well as in planning and monitoring allocated human resources, including planning conflict resolution. Expert level usage of Microsoft Project or similar project schedulingplanning and management tools Extensive experience in using the Microsoft Office suite and in particular Word and Excel.
