Pyramid Vodka makers have bigger vision

After the initial growth and success of several Memphis microbreweries, the owners of Big River Distilling Company are hoping they can help jump-start a group of micro-distilleries in the area. When it launches next month , the distillery, founded by Alexander and Winston Folk, grandsons of Humphrey Folk Jr., founder of Folk's Folly, and Richard and Cannon Smith , sons of Fred Smith , founder of FedEx Corp., will produce Pyramid Vodka in a 25,000-square-foot facility on Royal Avenue.
