(Telecompaper) Paul Jacobs, the recently demoted chairman of Qualcomm, has approached several investors about a possible takeover of the chipmaker founded by his father. Following Broadcom's blocked bid for Qualcomm, he is seeking the help of investors such as Softbank to take the company private, the Financial Times reports.
