Qualcomm launches new LTE modems for Windows 10 devices

(Telecompaper) Qualcomm announced that it is extending its LTE modem technology portfolio to provide fast and reliable cellular connectivity in the next generation of Windows 10 notebooks and tablets for consumers, and enterprise customers. Embedded Qualcomm Snapdragon X12, X7 and X5 LTE modems will support a range of connected user experiences in upcoming Windows 10 notebooks, 2-in-1s and tablets later this year. Compatible with the native Mobile Broadband Interface Model (MBIM) in Windows 10, embedded Snapdragon LTE modems are designed to provide similar mobility experiences on PCs that are found in smartphones. Enterprise users are now increasingly using embedded LTE and location capabilities to enhance security and productivity with new flexible data plans that enable remote data wipe, sponsored connectivity, and pay-as-you-go mobile
