Qualcomm pays EUR 1.3 bln bond to enforce Apple sales ban in Germany

(Telecompaper) Qualcomm announced that it has posted EUR 1.34 billion in bonds in Germany in order to enforce a court order against sales of Apple devices in the country. The court ordered Apple in December to cease the sale and import of certain iPhones found to be infringing Qualcomm's patents for power-saving technology. The court also ordered Apple to recall infringing iPhones from third-party resellers in Germany.
