Railways catch up on delays

2014-12-27 10:07:34| Railroads - Topix.net

The two railways serving North Dakota made a slight dent in the number of late cars last week, but many farmers and ranchers still have a two-week wait before their grains are picked up for delivery. In a report to the U.S. Surface Transportation Board, Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway and Canadian Pacific Railway reported minor improvements in the week ending Dec. 20. BNSF reported it has 3,906 cars waiting to be picked up with an average wait of 15.8 days.
