Renault Profit Surges as European Recovery Boosts Car Sales

Renault SA reported a 47 percent jump in first-half earnings on robust demand in Europe for new models like the Kadjar sport utility vehicle. Operating profit rose to 1.07 billion euros from 729 million euros a year earlier, the Boulogne-Billancourt, France-based company said Thursday in a statement.
