Rice prices likely to increase as govt grain stock dips

Prices of rice may shoot up in the coming months as the stock of the grain with Food Corporation of India is depleting fast after an estimated drop in output, according to a study. Rice may cause 'pain in stomach' of consumers if timely and adequate steps are not taken, says an industry chamber.
