Siam Commercial Bank will increase its focus on the loan market for high-powered vehicles over the remainder of 2015, and into next year, as the segment not only provides a greater volume of lending but is also a relatively low-risk operation for the bank. Even though domestic auto sales in the first six months fell by 15-16 per cent from the same period last year, SCB expects demand will recover in the final quarter, driven by large-engine vehicles.
