Washington D.C. - CAP Distinguished Senior Fellow Carol M. Browner , released the following statement about Michael Boots' announcement that he will be leaving the White House Council on Environmental Quality: Michael Boots has been a tremendous champion for climate change, energy, and environmental causes over his six years in the Obama administration. He was an integral part of the climate and energy team who brought great insight and leadership to the table and helped achieve key successes on fuel-efficiency standards, cleaner cars, oceans policy, and carbon pollution from power plants.
