Samsung in talks with China semiconductor companies - report

(Telecompaper) Samsung Electronics is considering partnering with Chinese semiconductor companies to boost its sales and market share on the local market, The Korea Times reports, citing an unnamed source familiar with the matter. "China is a land of opportunity; however, it is also a real threat for Samsung", the source said. "It's no surprise that Samsung Electronics wants to form strategic partnerships with Chinese companies focusing on logic chips. Working-level discussions are under way", the source added.
