In event of short circuit in lateral distribution lines, TripSaver II® Cutout-Mounted Recloser will interrupt fault current and then reclose up to 3 times to determine if fault is still present. If fault remains, device will open and provide visible gap in power system, helping to isolate damaged section of grid. Utilities can configure product's protection settings at their own service centers, as well as modify settings in reaction to power system changes or changes in operational practices.
