Senator O'Sullivan says sugar millers had their chance to make marketing peace

Sugar millers have rejected a parliamentary committee inquiry's recommendation that a mandatory code of conduct be introduced to help address an impasse over marketing in the Australian sugar industry. The Australian Sugar Milling Council says the industry must be left to negotiate its own commercial solution. But Queensland Senator Barry O'Sullivan says millers have shown themselves unwilling to budge on how raw sugar exports are sold into the market.
