Description of the job An exciting opportunity has arisen within Airbus Operations for the position of Senior Scientist Cyber Security Researcher, based in Newport, South Wales. You will report directly to the Team Leader for Cyber Security Innovation in the European leading Cyber Security New technology and Scouting team, consisting of 30 researchers across Europe, providing security solutions, knowledge and support to all areas of Airbus businesses, including IT, manufacturing systems and product. We can offer you all of this and more Exciting development opportunities and perspectives within Airbus as a global player An attractive company pension scheme Airbus Group success share scheme A range of additional benefits Flexible working hours Tasks accountabilities The main tasks will include Lead research projects into cyber security topics of interest to support the business Senior technical specialist in one or more areas of cyber security including Security Architecture Cyber Forensics and Incident Response Industrial Control System Cyber Security Penetration Testing and Audit Cloud security Cryptography Security Monitoring SOC Develop prototype solutions Support industrialistion of solutions Provide expert services senior consultancy to the internal business Undertake technical scouting missions product evaluations and bench marking Manage Programs Present new technology concepts Advise on evolving and latest threats risks Publish academic articles, technical reports, and white papers Present at Global conferences and events This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Companys success, reputation and sustainable growth. Required skills We are looking for candidates with the some or all of the following skillsexperience Cyber security experience in relevant cyber security specialist area Degree, Training or equivalent experience in relevant cyber security related subject Experience of research, new technology, and solutions development Experience with managing and delivering cyber security programs Experience with bidproposal writing Excellent report writing PhD or research experience in related subject Because of the nature of work undertaken, these positions are required to meet special nationality rules and therefore these vacancies are only open to sole British Citizens.
