Singapore Airlines has finally woken up with a shot of new energy as it announced its intention to resume non-stop flights between Singapore and New York, an improved performance for FY2015/16 first-half, and the acquisition of budget carrier Tigerair as a full subsidiary. Not in a long, long while has the industry witnessed such upbeat news of an airline that used to be known for its innovative and bold initiatives.
