Using HART communication protocol, Novato Reference Design transmits temperature measurements from remote sensors to central control unit over 4–20 mA current loop. Unit consumes less than 3.2 mA while providing measurements from -200 to +850°C with better than ±0.1% accuracy. Supporting 2-, 3-, or 4-wire RTD sensor inputs, transmitter works with any type of RTDs, from PT100 to PT1000, making it suitable for variety of industrial applications.
