Spacecraft Flight Software Developer

This job is to develop spacecraft flight software for ispace, inc. The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge base including an understanding of embedded hardware platforms. The job includes all phases in design, from defining software architecture, to implementation and test of software, to support of spacecraft operations during simulated and real missions, in collaboration on a daily basis with other team members and with the hardware counterparts. Prior experience with high reliability designs for example in aerospace, medical or automotive industries is a must. Key Responsibilities Support software architecture definition Design and code spacecraft flight software Debug and test at unit level Develop and execute test cases and test procedures for integration, validation and verification Support systemlevel integration, troubleshooting and testing Support flight operations activities Basic Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent 5 years of experience designing and coding Proficient in highlevel structured programming languages e.g. C, C Experience with realtime software programming Experience with hardware interfaces and communication protocols I2C, SPI, RS485, CAN, UART, SpaceWire, etc. Proficient in embedded hardware platforms with strong resource constraints Experience with testing from unit level to hardwareintheloop Preferred Experience Masters degree Aerospace or automotive industry experience Experience with specific spacecraft subsystem software components GNCAOCS, propulsion, power, thermal, TTCcommunications, etc. Experience with realtime operating systems for embedded systems RTEMS, VxWorks, etc. Knowledge of best practices, coding standards, defensive programming, etc. Experience with software configuration management processes
