Spain ports record 912,000 lines in January

(Telecompaper) A total of 912,016 mobile and fixed line numbers were ported in Spain in January 2018, a monthly record, according to the latest figures from regulator CNMC. Some 687,974 mobile lines were ported in the first month of the year, around 24.4 percent more than in January 2017, said the regulator, with the total number of active mobile (voice, broadband and M2M) lines coming in at 52.1 million on 31 January, up 1.9 percent year on year, equivalent to a penetration rate of 112 lines per 100 inhabitants.
