ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY As the Specialist, Warehouse Logistics you will be responsible for handling all customer shipment both internally and externally. You will perform a variety of shipping and receiving tasks, verify materials received are as ordered and routes incoming items to appropriate departmentslocations, and prepare items for shipment ensuring cost effective courier services. Issues can be a broad variety, including but not limited to defective parts, exchanges, late or lost deliveries, invoicing errors, repairs, missing items, parts damaged during transit, address changes, credits, problems with customs etc PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES KEY RESULT AREAS Solve logistics challenges and improve processes Work on complex orders, ensuring all the equipment allocation and shipping requirements are met Prepare shipments for postal or commercial conveyance, determine most economical and efficient shipping method, select appropriate shipping container, and pack items to ensure safe delivery Prepare bills of lading and check items to be shipped against work orders to ascertain that quantities, destination, and routing are correct Receive and unload incoming materials and compare information on packing slip with purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment may process return shipments from customers Inspect shipments for damages or defects, record discrepancies or damages, and notify supervisor andor purchasing personnel Trace lost shipments andor customer claims of lost shipments and initiate proof of delivery documents Provide requested reporting on inventory, shipment details and shipments in process Maintain metrics, reports, process documentation, and customer service logs Guide and train employees performing related work Organize shipments of spares replenishments for future replenishments of RMA material in collaboration with the CSM and RLM for the return of equipment Resolve daily carrier issues as needed to ensure service performance Serve as initial point of contact to receive and handle issues regarding service, rates, and schedules COMPETENCIES Problemsolving Attention to detail Customer service QUALIFICATION EXPERIENCE Required Bachelors degree in Logistics Management or equivalent work experience Minimum 35 years experience in warehousing and international logistics Knowledge of domestic and international importexport rules and regulations Ability to frequently lift and carry 50 pounds Preferred Experience with SAP CRM system Forklift certification WHATS IN IT FOR YOU?
